What is a good company to get bonding and insurance in El paso, Texas for a General Contractors license?

I was doing business in California were this type of thing way more regulated. Here in El Paso, Texas you just pay all your fees and your in, anyone can do this. Anyhow I have been looking around and I feel like every ones is trying rip me off In California I paid like $250 while over here some want around $1000 and up, probably because it is so unregulated.
So back to the question, what is a good insurance company were I can find bonding and insurance at a reasonable price?

The reason they want $1K and up, is because contractors tend to be seasonal, and notoriously don’t pay their bills, and will let the policy cancel for nonpayment after the certificate of insurance is issued.
