insulated electrical tools, who buys them?
is it the contractors responsibility, or is it the electricians? also, since they are so expensive, which ones are and are not necessary to buy? and lastly, how safe are non-insulated tools that are wrapped in electrical tape around the exposed metal as a precaution, and grabbing the cushioned part only while working energized?
it would be the contractors responsibility to provide all ppe. when working live, you should always use insulated gloves and tools. on lower voltages such as 48v or 120v you can cheat and just use cushioned tools with electrical tape covering the exposed parts.
